Satu Taskinen (b. 1970) is a writer and critic who lives in Vienna.
Her first novel The Perfect Steak (2011) won Helsingin Sanomat Literature Prize, was awarded for being the most popular debut novel in Academic Bookstore and was a contender for the European Book Prize. Cathedral (2014) was a candidate for the European Union’s Literature Prize and got Toisinkoinen Literature Prize given to the best second novel. Children (2017) is Taskinen’s third novel that has already been widely praised by the critics.
